The Accidental by Ali Smith
This work was inspired by the book, The Accidental, by Ali Smith. A story of a stranger walking into the lives of a family bearing unexpected gifts.
The work was created using Tetrapack prints, watercoloured and collaged together digitally.
The prints were selected as part of Ferens Gallery Open exhibition and Ropewalk Gallery Print Collective exhibition.
"She had entered him like he was water. Like he was a dictionary and she was a word he hadn't known was in him. Or she had entered him more simply, like he was a door and she opened him, leaving him standing ajar as she walked straight in."
